The function of the LAY MINISTRY COMMITTEE is to visit our shut-ins and persons in convalescent homes, work with the Evangelism Committee, and attend to the needs of our congregation.
We have a Card Ministry that focuses on sending out Get Well Cards, Sympathy, Birth, Birthday and Anniversary cards.
Bulletins are mailed out weekly to those unable to attend church services. Alter flowers are delivered on Mondays to members who are hospitalized, ill or just need to know that we care and are thinking of them. We also have several nursing homes that receive the flowers on a rotating basis.
On occasions when meals are needed, there is a group of volunteers who graciously prepare hot and frozen meals. When someone hasn't been seen at church for awhile, Lay Ministry will follow-up and see if they have needs and let them know we miss them and that we care about them.
