WORSHIP AND MUSIC

The purpose of the Worship and Music committee at House of Prayer is to provide a spiritual and enlightening experience for the congregation each time we worship together. We want to make it evident that "... where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them ..." (Matthew 18:20).

The committee is composed of the pastor, music director, organist, a council member, and several other members of the congregation. The committee coordinates with those who serve during worship, including ushers, Altar Guild, acolytes, readers, communion assistants, and nursery attendants. All work to provide support for a friendly, uplifting, Christ-centered service that can give meaning for worshipers during the rest of the week.

Our worship service includes traditional and contemporary aspects, and a variety of musical styles, including drama and dance. We are open to new ideas and welcome suggestions from the congregation.
